Home$tretch has a 0% interest rate, no monthly payment, due on sale, refinance or at the end of a 30 year maturity. This program still exists today and is Bond funded and paired only with our first mortgage bond products.

Scott Hoversland

Executive Director

“There has been a serious shortage of affordable housing in Wyoming for a number of years.  Due to a lack of housing, business leaders, hospitals, educators and others statewide are challenged to recruit and retain a workforce. As a result of not being able to maintain a stable business environment or a basic level of essential services, populations decline, tax base erodes, student performance declines, the risk of homelessness increases, and communities deteriorate.  Working with housing partners and others such as realtors and mortgage lenders, WCDA is determined to develop a Wyoming Housing Trust Fund to address the housing shortage in the State of Wyoming.  A grass roots effort over the last few years has began to gain momentum and as others see the need for help fund affordable housing within Wyoming as leaders realize Wyoming must address its housing needs to promote economic development and strengthen community infrastructure, because Wyoming knows best how to address Wyoming’s housing needs!”

Transitional Housing Program
Casper, WY

In response to the need for housing to assist WY’s homeless/formerly homeless individuals transitioning to permanent housing, the WCDA Board of Directors voted in June 2017 to allocate $4 M from WCDA’s mortgage revenue-funded Housing Trust Fund towards the construction of supportive housing facilities for this vulnerable population. The Transitional Housing Fund operates as a revolving loan fund with proceeds from project loan repayments returned to the Fund for use on future projects.
